Hamsanandi

Indian Classical Raga

Hamsanandi is a shadava-shadava janya raga of the 53rd melakarta Gamanashrama, a panchamavarjya raga that omits panchamam (Pa) entirely. It is a comparatively recent addition to the Carnatic repertoire. It is considered a joyful raga, traditionally sung in the evening.
