Hemavati
Indian Classical Raga
Hemavati, called Simharavam or Deshi Simharavam in the Muthuswami Dikshitar tradition, is a raga in Carnatic music. It is the 58th melakarta raga in the 72 melakarta system, belonging to the tenth chakra, Disi. It is favoured particularly by nadaswaram players, and its scale has also been adopted into Hindustani music.
