Natabairavi
Indian Classical Raga
Natabhairavi is the 20th melakarta raga in the 72-melakarta system of Carnatic music. It is a sampurna raga whose scale corresponds to the natural minor scale (Aeolian mode) of Western music and to the Asavari thaat of Hindustani music. It is the shuddha madhyamam equivalent of Shanmukhapriya, the 56th melakarta. It is described as inciting feelings of grandeur and devotion in listeners.
