Sarasangi
Indian Classical Raga
Sarasangi is the 27th melakarta raga in the Carnatic 72 melakarta system, the third raga of the Bana chakra. It is a sampoorna raga with all seven notes in both ascending and descending scales. Composers who have used the raga include Tyagaraja, Swati Tirunal and Muthuswami Dikshitar, and it has also appeared in film music.
