Yagapriya
Indian Classical Raga
Yagapriya is the 31st melakarta raga in the Carnatic 72 melakarta system, the first raga of the Rutu chakra. It is a sampoorna raga, and is known as Kalavati in the Muthuswami Dikshitar school of Carnatic music. Compositions in this raga include Muthuswami Dikshitar's "Kalavati Kamalasyanu" and Koteeswara Iyer's "Shambho Sadashiva."
