About
Ananya was founded in 1995 by Jnanpith Award-winning writer Dr. U. R. Ananthamurthy as founder-chairman, with its inaugural concert held on 27 May 1995. It is a self-funded, non-profit trust supporting music, dance, literature and painting, and it runs its own hall, Ananya Sabhangana, in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. Its programmes include the annual Ananya Sangeethotsava music festival, Bharatanatyam performances, and Kalasinchana, a bilingual monthly newsletter on the performing arts.
