Bangalore International Centre

Bangalore International Centre was founded in November 2005 by a group of civic leaders, professionals, academics and artists who wanted Bengaluru to have a public space for dialogue across cultures, religions and disciplines; its Domlur building was inaugurated by APJ Abdul Kalam, and founding member Ravichandar V has remained closely associated with running it since. A member- and donor-supported non-profit, it holds close to 500 programmes a year — talks, discussions, performances, film screenings and exhibitions — and hosts the concert series Sangamam. The Domlur facility has an auditorium, seminar rooms, a gallery and a library.
