About
Sangamam is a classical arts initiative of the Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives, established by Kumari Shibulal and S D Shibulal and launched in November 2022 with a concert by the Ranjani Sisters. It presents Carnatic and Hindustani vocal music, Bharatanatyam and other classical dance, and regional and folk art forms, mainly at the Bangalore International Centre, through two major events a year plus monthly programming. Its stated aim is to keep classical arts a living, contemporary practice rather than historical artefacts.
