About
Shambhavi School of Dance was founded in 1993 in Kengeri, Bengaluru as a gurukul for the study and practice of Kuchipudi and other Indian classical dance and music, and is known as the Kuchipudi Gurukul of Karnataka. Its Artistic Director is Kuchipudi exponent Vyjayanthi Kashi. Besides training students at its Kengeri campus and branches elsewhere in Bengaluru, it organises the annual Dance Jathre, a multi-day international dance fair with workshops and performances, and events such as the International Women's Day programme Nayika: Excellence Personified.
