About

A Victorian-era octagonal bandstand inside Cubbon Park, Bengaluru, built around 1914 with cast ironwork from the Saracen Foundry of Glasgow, after an earlier bandstand near the Bowring Institute was demolished. Before independence, the Royal Air Force's band played western music there every Saturday evening. It fell out of use for decades and has since been revived for Sunday morning cultural performances.
