About
A degree college in Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, run by the Mysore Education Society (MES). It was founded to provide higher education, particularly for young women who then lacked access to nearby institutions, starting with 68 students at a residence called Anandashram. G. A. Acharya, an industrialist and philanthropist, was its founding president and M. P. L. Sastry, a Sanskrit scholar, its founding secretary. MES today runs two schools, four pre-university colleges, three degree colleges and a postgraduate research centre, with about 15,000 students. The college is affiliated to Bengaluru City University and is NAAC-accredited with an 'A' grade.
