About
Established in 1902 following a plague that struck Malleshwaram, the temple was built with the Mysore royal family among its funders, Maharaja Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar included, alongside residents who gave land, labour and materials. Its sanctum was consecrated on 22 August 1902 under Pancharatra and Vedic rites, and its bells came from a decommissioned warship. Standing on 11th Cross Road, Malleshwaram, it observes an annual ten-day Brahmotsava alongside Sri Krishna Jayanti, Narasimha Jayanti and Vaikunta Ekadashi.
