Bilahari

Indian Classical Raga

Bilahari is a janya raga of the 29th melakarta Sankarabharanam (Dheerasankarabharanam). It is an audava-sampurna raga, with five notes in ascent and all seven in descent. It evokes veera rasa, bringing cheer, courage and enthusiasm, and is traditionally sung in the morning.
