Kasiramakriya

Indian Classical Raga

Kashiramakriya, known more widely as Kamavardhani or Pantuvarali, is a raga in Carnatic music. It is the 51st melakarta raga in the 72 melakarta system, the third raga of the Brahma chakra, and its Hindustani equivalent is Puriya Dhanashri. It is often sung near the start of a concert. In slower phrases it can convey melancholy, and it is also associated with a mood of devotion.
