Mohana

Mohana is a janya raga usually classified under the 28th melakarta Harikambhoji, though some sources instead place it under Mechakalyani or Sankarabharanam. It is an audava raga using only five notes — S R2 G3 P D2 — in both ascent and descent, omitting madhyamam and nishadham. It is considered an auspicious raga, commonly featured in Carnatic concerts, and carries the rasas of veera, sringara, karuna and hasya.
