Natakuranji

Indian Classical Raga

Nattakurinji (Natakuranji) is an audava janya raga of the 28th melakarta Harikambhoji in Carnatic music. It is an asymmetric, vakra raga with three recognised forms of its ascending and descending scales. It is classified as a rakti raga, one of high melodic content, and is considered auspicious to sing in the evening. It is rarely used in Hindustani music.
