Nattai
Indian Classical Raga
Nattai (Nata) is a janya raga of the 36th melakarta Chalanata, sampoorna in ascent and audava in descent, omitting gandharam and dhaivatam in its descending scale. It is classified as a vivadi raga because of a dissonant note combination. It carries an auspicious, devotional character and is associated with compositions in praise of Ganesha, and is traditionally sung in the early part of a concert.
