Navarasa kannaDa is a janya raga of Harikambhoji, the 28th melakarta. It is an asymmetric svarantara-shadava raga with four notes in ascent and six in descent. It omits rishabham, dhaivatam and nishadam in ascent and panchamam in descent. It is well suited to instrumental music for veena and flute.
