Huseni
Indian Classical Raga
Huseni (also spelled Useni) is a janya raga of the 22nd melakarta Kharaharapriya in Carnatic music. It is comparatively rarely sung despite compositions by Tyagaraja, Swati Thirunal, Arunachala Kavi and Muthuswami Dikshitar. Its phrases are close to those of other Kharaharapriya janyas such as Bhairavi and Mukhari, which makes it easy to confuse with them and difficult to elaborate at length.
