Kedaragaula

Indian Classical Raga

Kedaragaula is a janya raga of the 28th melakarta Harikambhoji, combining the pentatonic ascent of Madhyamavati with Harikambhoji's fuller descent. It carries karuna rasa and is traditionally sung in the morning. Kedaragaula is often chosen for virutham, the improvised recitation that precedes a composition.
